Drawing and painting classes in Paris

In the pleasant and friendly atmosphere of an artist’s studio, in the heart of the “Bastille” neighbourhood (Metro stations : Bastille, Gare de Lyon, Ledru Rollin), you can practice painting : watercolor, oil painting, acrylics … or life drawing.
The classes are instructed by Patrick Fouilhoux.

There are 2 kinds of classes :

1/ Life drawing

In this class, the emphasis is on drawing, though you can also paint .

The objectiv is lo learn how to see : the essential elements of the pose, the movement, the planes, the volumes, the space, the foreshortenings, the flow of light, the composition.

2/ Painting techniques :

You can choose to learn or improve any chosen technique : watercolour, oils, acrylic, gouache, pastels… How to deal with colour harmony, values, composition, textures and effects, …You can, for example , also learn how to stretch the watercolour paper, prepare and prime your oil canvases, use pigments, glues and mediums…

Prices : Termly commitment. In one term, there are 12 weeks, and you can start whenever you like. If you miss any of your classes, you can attend any others within the term.

1 class per week for 1 term ( 12 classes) = 372 €

– Life drawing : Thursday : 2 – 4.00pm   / Saturday : 11.30 am -13.30pm

– Painting techniques: Tuesday – Wednesday 7pm-9pm / Wednesday 2pm-4.30pm / Saturday 3pm-5.30pm / Thursday 10am-12.30 pm
