Tangier sits on the northern tip of Morocco, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. The location is stunning, overlooking the sea and the Bay of Tangier. The city remains authentic and full of charm.
The city's history is very much present in its architecture and diverse neighborhoods: a beautiful Arab medina, colonial districts dating from 1900-1930, Spanish and French influences, superb Art Deco buildings and villas, more modern districts, and colorful markets overflowing with fruits and spices. I prepared the workshop by selecting locations in Tangier itself, but also in the surrounding area: beautiful forests or small seaside towns... I've especially planned a trip to Tetouan (the most Andalusian city in Morocco, with its medina listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Larache, a magnificent little seaside town.
Climate :
Please note that temperatures are particularly mild in Tangier, due to the sea. In August, you will often get 28 ° in Tangier while you have 38° in Marrakech.
Program:
We will paint « en plein air ». I will suggest viewpoints that we will reach by foot or by shared taxi (taxis are inexpensive). All levels and techniques are welcome.
The tuition method consists of group demonstrations as well as individual feedback. We will paint every morning from 9:30 am until lunchtime, around 1:00 pm. The painting session may be delayed if we need to reach the location by shared taxi.
Outside of painting time, you are free to continue painting, rest, or explore...
Price and conditions:
€ 410 for the painting workshop. This price includes organization, instruction, and general workshop costs. It does not include transportation, accommodation, or specific workshop insurance. A € 200 deposit is required (non-refundable after July 15th).

By plane from Paris to Tangier.
Accommodation & meals:
We will be staying in or near the Tangier medina. You will easily find accommodation based on my recommendations: hotels, Airbnb rooms.
