Palermo:
Palermo is a fascinating and vibrant city, capital of Sicily. Many cultures have left their mark there : you'll find Arab, Roman, and Norman remains, magnificent Baroque churches, Romanesque cloisters, as well as picturesque oriental markets, and a still very authentic Italian way of life. The workshop will take place from Monday, May 11th to Saturday, May 16th included.
Program:
We shall paint outdoors, "en plein air." I will suggest viewpoints that we will reach on foot or by bus (to go to the seaside resort of Mondello, for example). You can choose a "travel sketchbook" or "painting" approach, and the technique of your choice: drawing, watercolor, gouache, etc.
The teaching method consists of group demonstrations as well as individual feedback. We will paint every morning from 9:30 am until lunchtime, around 1:00/1:30 pm. The painting session may be rescheduled if it takes a little longer to reach the subject. In the afternoon, you are free to continue painting, relax, or explore the city.
Price and conditions:
€ 450 for the workshop. This price includes organization, tuition, and general studio costs. It does not include transportation, accommodation, or specific insurance. Booking deposit: €200

By plane to Palermo. The journey between the airport and the center of Palermo is quite easy using public transportation. I will provide you with details.
