The Location:
I found Cambodia to be a country that was authentic and captivating. It offers stunning landscapes: rice paddies, mountainous regions, dreamlike islands, pepper plantations or mangroves. You'll also appreciate the charm of its cities, from the capital, Phnom Penh, to traditional provincial towns, as well as the welcoming young and friendly population. The chosen period corresponds to the dry season.

The Program:
We shall paint "on location." I will suggest viewpoints that we shall reach on foot or by local transportation. You can choose a "Travel sketch" or "Painting" approach. All levels and techniques are accepted. The teaching method consists of group demonstrations as well as individual assistance.
We will paint every morning from 9:30 a.m. until lunchtime, around 1:30 p.m. Then we'll resume for about 1,5 hours at the end of the day.
I've planned the following itinerary:
- Arrival in Phnom Penh, the pleasant capital of Cambodia, located at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers, with its royal palace, its Khmer art museum, its old Art Deco market, its rickshaw drivers.
- The city of Kampot, with its remnants of French colonial architecture, its pepper and durian plantations, its mangroves, and more.
- "Kep sur Mer," a peaceful seaside resort founded during the French period on the Gulf of Thailand, is known, among other things, for its fried blue crabs with Kampot pepper. From there, we can consider excursions into the surrounding nature or the neighboring island of Koh Tonsay.
I think you'd better add two days before and after the course to enjoy a fortnight in Cambodia.

This price includes organization and tuition, as well as my general expenses. It does not include transportation, accommodation, or specific insurance for the workshop. Reservation deposit : €290, non-refundable within 30 days of the start of the workshop. Any public transportation costs (very cheap in Cambodia) are shared among participants.
